Marisa is the Owner & Clinical Director of ME Psychotherapy. She is a licensed therapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Marisa specializes in pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders and supporting new parents with adjusting to family life. She is a certified perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She also enjoys working adolescents over age 16, college/grad/med students struggling with stress management, and adults dealing with issues related to anxiety, perfectionism, work/life balance issues, and clients who are having issues with family, friend, and dating relationships.
UPDATE: Marisa is no longer taking new clients. She manages and supervises the team of therapists at ME Psychotherapy.

Kimberly is a licensed therapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She works with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, behavioral difficulties, self-esteem issues, and work/school difficulties. Kimberly specializes in working with clients with trauma and adults who are on the autism spectrum. Kimberly has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, behavior modification, and applied behavior analysis.
Kimberly is in the Providence office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, daytime hours. She also offers Telehealth and Walk & Talk sessions during the week, daytime hours.

Amy is a licensed therapist in Rhode Island and a registered drama therapist (RDT). Specializing in drama therapy, a common question arises, “Do I have to be an actor to seek treatment?” The answer is, “No!” Drama therapy provides a unique therapeutic lens to elicit change in clients. Drama therapy is appropriate for anyone seeking therapy, especially those wanting to engage in an arts-based, embodied approach. Amy invites her clients to share their story, utilize metaphor, think about their roles in their lives, be an interactive part of the process, and be willing to find meaningful change. Amy has experience working with clients in the areas of maternal mental health, grief, and addiction. She is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS). Amy enjoys working with clients of all ages, couples, and families. She specializes in grief work, addiction, and maternal mental health.

Alex Herlich, MS Intern

Alex is a masters level intern, currently pursuing his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College. He enjoys working with adolescents, college students, and young adults, as well as individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and men’s issues. Alex believes in a person-centered approach that caters to the needs and goals of each individual client while also building a safe, open, and welcoming space for counseling to occur. He is passionate about working with clients to set, work towards, and achieve their goals in a collaborative manner.
Alex is in the Narragansett office on Wednesday, evening hours. He also offers Telehealth on Thursday, daytime hours.
Alex does not accept any insurance plans, but offers a low sliding fee of $65 per session.
