Kate is a masters level intern, currently pursuing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from Regis College. Kate specializes in working with young adults, college students and adults throughout the lifespan. Her experience spans multiple industries including product management in hi-tech, software development, personal fitness, yoga instruction and in healthcare as a bedside nurse, nurse educator and in insurance as a nurse quality manager for primary care. Her life experiences include managing anxiety, postpartum depression, autism, divorce, co-parenting, single parenting, adult dating and career transitions. Her hobbies include staying active with hiking, yoga, paddleboarding, biking, cooking nutritious meals and travel. Kate leverages a range of therapy styles that follow the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based and solution-focused therapy with underlying mindfulness practices. Her goal is to create a collaborative, supportive environment for patients to feel safe and inspired to navigate life’s challenges.

Kate is in the Narragansett office on Tuesday and Wednesday, evening hours. She also offers Telehealth on Thursday, morning hours.

Kate does not accept any insurance plans, but offers a low sliding fee of $65 per session.

Natasha Blackadar, M.Ed.

Natasha is a masters level, prelicensed therapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Rooted in a social justice perspective, Natasha draws from a range of therapeutic styles to meet the needs of each unique client, including person-centered, cognitive behavioral, existential, and feminist therapy. She emphasizes self-compassion, mindfulness, and radical acceptance to help clients reach their goals and feel empowered to make changes in their lives. Natasha is passionate about supporting clients experiencing perinatal mental health issues during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She also enjoys working with college students, survivors of sexual assault, and women of all ages as they face challenges and transitions in their lives. She has experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, self esteem, and relationship issues. Natasha believes that clients already have what they need inside of them, and that therapy is a collaborative process to identify their strengths and draw them out.

Natasha is in the Providence office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, daytime hours. She also offers Telehealth and Walk & Talk sessions Monday through Friday, daytime hours.

Samantha Brilhante, MA

Samantha is a masters level, prelicensed therapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and is EMDR trained. She specializes in working with children over age 10, adolescents, and young adults. Samantha utilizes a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to therapy and provides multi-dimensional care that is tailored to meet each client’s needs. She completed basic EMDR training for the treatment of trauma. Samantha employs her background and training in the arts to help clients explore, express, and cope with their emotional needs using art therapy and DBT skill building. She enjoys working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, issues with self-esteem, trauma, personality disorders, and emotional dysregulation. Samantha believes that therapy is a collaborative process and is ready to encourage clients to tell their stories and achieve their goals in a safe, and supportive environment.

Laura Mooney, MA, LMHC, RYT

Laura is a licensed therapist in Rhode Island. Laura’s intention is to help every client feel “seen and heard” when in her office (or via telehealth!). She loves working with adolescents over age 12 and adults of all genders and sexual identities, religions, race and ethnicities. With compassion, a listening ear, and some humor too, Laura provides a safe space for clients to be themselves, express their life experiences, daily struggles and societal pressures, without concerns of judgement or stigma. Laura strives to help clients internalize that they are enough, and that their voice, thoughts, and beliefs matter. Laura draws mainly from person centered, strength-based, CBT, narrative therapy, reality and solutions oriented theories; and has worked with clients struggling with a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, school difficulties/learning differences, sexual and gender identities, self esteem, body-image, relationship and family conflicts.  Laura is open to bringing yoga practices into sessions, where desired.
